Regular Season CMBA Rules will be in effect with the following modifications:
Club Divisions
Each team will have 2 timeouts in the first half and 3 timeouts in the second.
Overtime in the regular season of play and playoffs will start with a jump ball. The first team to score 4 points or the team leading at the end of a 3 minute stop time period is the victor, whichever comes first. If the game remains tied at the end of 3 minutes, the second overtime period will begin immediately with a jump ball and the winner will be determined by the first team to score a point. This includes any type of point scored including a single foul shot.
There will be no timeouts in OT
In the Club Division No team will press with a lead of more than 30 points.
U13 A/B
U13 A/B will play 4 - 9 minute stop time quarters with a 2-minute half time break.
U13 can play full court person to person defence (no full or half-court zone defence will be permitted)
U15 A/B
U15 will play 4 - 10 minute stop time quarters with a 2-minute half time break.
U15 teams may play full court zone defence at any time until the ball crosses the half court line and then must revert to man to man defence; double teaming of the ball handler is allowed in the full court and half court.
U18 A/B
U18 will play 4 - 10 minute stop time quarters with a 2-minute half time break.
U18 teams will play full FIBA rules
Rec League Divisions
40-point mercy rule is in effect in ALL CMBA Community Divisions

U11 Division
U11Division will play 4 on 4 (As per Canada Basketball’s developmental model)
Games shall consist of two (2) halves of twenty three (23) minutes.
Twenty two (22) minutes running time and one (1) minute stop time at the end of each half.
There shall be a two (2) minute half time break.
The clock shall be stopped for time outs and injuries.
There is no screening on or off the ball in U11
U11 teams must play man to man defence, they cannot press
Bonus occurs on the 8 Team foul in each playing half
U13 A/B will play 4 - 9 minute stop time quarters with a 2-minute half time break.
U13 teams must play man-to-man defence only in full court and half court, they can full court press in man to man and can double team the ballhandler in full court and half court. (Follows Canada Basketball Learn to Train Stage (L2T) Chapter 7 page 37)
U15 Division
U15 A/B and U18 A/B will play 4 - 10 minute stop time quarters with a 2-minute half time break.

U15 teams may play full court zone defence at any time until the ball crosses the half court line and then must revert to man to man defence; double teaming of the ballhandler is allowed in the full court and half court.
