7.3.7.        Double-teaming the ball carrier is allowed.  A player may not be double teamed if they are not in possession of the ball

7.3.8.        Triple teaming the ball carrier in the front court is deemed to be a zone defence (illegal defence) and is not allowed in the U-15 Age Group

Definition of Illegal Defence: Except where zone defence is permitted (U-18 Category), all players must play man-to-man defence. Anything otherwise will be considered “illegal defence”. It includes players covering a certain section of the floor and/or not covering or not knowing their opponent. It is permissible to play “help-side- defence” and also to “sag” from an offensive player who is not actively involved in the play. The illegal defence call will be based on the intent of the play and is at the discretion of the referees. Any demonstration by a coach to position four of his players away from the key in an effort to pull the defenders out of the key resulting in a one-on-one situation for his ball carrier, with the specific intent to “show” the referees that the opposing team is playing “zone defence” is not acceptable and will result in a technical foul to the offending coach.

7.3.9.       Full court press: All U-15 divisions may employ a man-to-man or zone press. However, after the offensive team reaches their front court, the defence must revert to man-to-man coverage unless double teaming the ball carrier. (Rule 7.3.6)   Full court press will no longer be permitted once a team has reached a lead of twenty (20) points or more.   Should teams continue to full court press when ahead twenty (20) points or more, they will be issued a warning. If teams disregard the warning a technical foul will be assessed.
