All CMBA members are automatically also members of Basketball Alberta, the governing body for the sport of basketball in Alberta. We will disclose player, coach, and team management names and contact information to Alberta Basketball Association for purposes of promoting and administering Basketball Alberta programs including, but not limited to, clinics, camps, development programs, Provincial teams, and tournaments such as the Youth Provincials.
CMBA may disclose likenesses, photographs, video, film or other media of players, coaches or team mangers in a group, state of play, coaching or other association's activities in our newsletter, on our website, on our social media or to others to promote and advertise the CMBA. We will use group photos and video, film or other media to record team and group activities, states of play and coaching and other association activities for these purposes. We will ask for your consent before disclosing photographs, film, video or other media of you singly or not with others for these purposes.
CMBA reserves the right to disclose personal information to a third party if a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order legally requires or authorizes us to do so. CMBA also reserves the right to disclose and/or transfer personal information to a third party in the event of a proposed or actual purchase, sale (including a liquidation, realization, foreclosure or repossession), lease, merger, amalgamation or any other type of acquisition, disposal, transfer, conveyance or financing of all or any portion of CMBA or of any of the business or assets or shares of CMBA or a division thereof in order for you to continue to receive the same products and services from the third party.
CMBA collects personal information about you only when you voluntarily provide it. Typically, we will seek consent for the use or disclosure of your personal information at the time of collection. CMBA retains your personal information for the duration of you registration or membership, and in accordance with or to comply with applicable limitation periods or laws, and your consent to such purposes(s) remains valid after termination of our relationship with you.
